Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church is a parish of the Orthodox Church in America. We are composed of both converts to the faith and "cradle" Orthodox of various backgrounds. On this website you can learn more about the Orthodox faith, as well as about our community. Visitors are always welcome at Christ the Saviour. Many of us started our journey as “visitors.” We say to all: Come and see! Come and experience the unchanged, ancient Christian faith in the Orthodox Church!  For more information, please contact us, and driving directions to our church are at left.  Click here for our Facebook page, and click here to visit our Hattiesburg, Mississippi Mission.

The Dormition of the Theotokos

"Patient endurance is the fruit of love,
for 'love patiently endures all things'(I Cor. 13:7),
and teaches us to achieve such endurance by forcing ourselves
so that through patience we may attain love..."
